No WiFi at this location in B'klyn. Laptop connected to the Internet via Bluetooth, which is connected to my phone, which
has dialed a number in McKinleyville, CA. Data speed is only 11 kbs,
but there is no airtime, data charge, or plan.
Whether this stunt is considered high-tech or ice-age depends on your birth date and/or income.
Confessions of a Facebook addict: To function at this miserable speed, I am using the Opera Mini java phone browser, and posting to the Facebook Mobile website. But instead of running Opera on the phone, I'm running it full-screen on the laptop (via an emulator). Same bandwidth. Sick, huh?
